A round bar is a solid cylindrical metal bar with a circular cross-section, produced in stainless steel, mild steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and EN series grades. Round bars conform to ASTM A276, ASTM A108, ASTM A36, IS 2062, EN 10060, and EN 10278. Stainless steel bars mainly use chromium and nickel, while mild steel and EN series bars are mainly defined by their carbon content. Their strength goes from about 410 MPa for basic structural mild steel to over 860 MPa for specially heat-treated alloy steel.
