Monel Pipe Grades
Monel pipe is available in two grades: Monel 400 (UNS N04400) and Monel K-500 (UNS N05500).
Monel 400 Pipe
Monel 400 contains approximately 63% nickel and 28-34% copper, strengthened through cold working only. Resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and caustic solutions is excellent from subzero to 538 0C.
Monel K-500 Pipe
Monel K-500 is an age-hardenable variant with aluminium and titanium additions. It achieves higher tensile strength and hardness than Monel 400 after precipitation hardening, while retaining comparable corrosion resistance.
